I knew I was going to love this book when I found out that Reading (for any non-UK readers, that’s a pretty run-of-the-mill non-descript town) was rebranded Real-Town in the story. Marvellous.
I really enjoyed this book.
It’s fast-paced, but with enough detail to paint a picture and get you to care about the characters.
When the monsters hiding underneath your bed are much less frightening than the bills you have to pay, the family you have to support, the job you have to find, and the unrealised dreams you cry about, then you know there’s a problem. Especially when you are a full-grown adult in your mid-thirties.
